Surveillance & Tech

Dig Deeper: one of the first websites I came accross on NeoCities, and full of useful info on all those evil corporations and intel agencies looking to hoover up all your data.

Unix Sheik: interesting tech sites with strong opinions and tutorials.

Alternative News

Black Power Media: reporting on the African American anti-colonial/white supremacy struggle. I mix what I like hosted by Jared Ball, Professor of Communication and Africana Studies, is the best show. In it he dissects US pro-imperialism propaganda and how it effects African-American poltics, culture and sports.

Barrett Brown: activist reporter and ex-politcal prisoner uncovering the spooks and right wing shrills on social media.

Return Fire: UK anarchist journal, their work includes an exsposure of Extinction Rebellion and Greta Greenberg; it is a neoliberal plot of course.

Consortium news: good for an even handed analysis of the shit going on in Ukraine.

Carlos Latuff: is the cartoonist who drew the image in the mast above. Many of his cartoons are on point about US imperialism and Western Hypocrisy, so please support his work.

Libgen: if you need an academic book or article, it is probably here.

Software

Freetube: watch Youtube more privately and without adds.

YT-DLP, download audio and video from Youtube, BBC etc. from the command line.

Soulseek: download music.

Zotero: if you are an academic or researcher that needs to organise their library then this will help. With version 6 an inbuilt PDF reader appears. It features note-taking abilities that are integrated into the main database. An excellent upgrade that has improved by workflow by allowing me to read, take notes and plan all within the same program.

Web Tools

Sadgrl's Layout Builder: I used this to build the layout for this site, helped a lot.

this helped too, a good basic and short guide on HTML & CSS.
